The 11–12 hour route combines the towns around Amsterdam, Giethoorn and the Afsluitdijk. Before departure, we will agree the pickup place, time at each stop, meal break, cheese farm and boat trip.

Begin among the historic windmills of Zaanse Schans, one of the scenes most closely associated with the Netherlands.

The first small-town stop on the way north from Amsterdam.
On the way

Continue through Volendam and Broek in Waterland. We will agree the time in each place before departure to suit your party’s pace.

Leave the vehicle at the car park and continue through the village of canals, small bridges and thatched houses.

After Giethoorn, drive along the thirty-kilometre dam that protects Amsterdam and its surroundings from the North Sea.

The drive back completes this full-day route through the north of the Netherlands. We will agree time for a meal stop in advance.
